Your cat steps in through the front door or drops in from the top, whichever feels more natural. Exit is through the top only. The front door is particularly useful for cats that hesitate to jump into an enclosed space from above. Not every cat is confident entering from height, and the front door removes that barrier entirely. As your cat climbs out, the built-in litter grid and first step catch loose litter from paws before it reaches the floor.
